About the Respironics EverGo
Respironics EverGo FAQs
WE GAVE IT AN 8-HOUR BATTERY LIFE - BECAUSE FREEDOM SHOULDN'T BE RUSHED
The EverGoPortable Oxygen Concentrator is the new oxygen therapy solution that truly gives the most active oxygen therapy patients the freedom to go wherever they want - whenever they want. Its 8-hour battery life (based on 20 breaths per minute and a typical device setting of 2) and 1,050 ml/min oxygen capacity means that you can test your limits - without being limited by the device.
LARGER OXYGEN CAPACITY LETS YOU STAY ACTIVE
Other portable oxygen concentrator units can provide a maximum of 500-750 ml/min of oxygen. But EverGo delivers 1,050 ml/min of oxygen through fixed bolus delivery, increasing the amount of oxygen with each setting. That means that you have access to more oxygen with each breath - and a much lower chance of out-breathing the device. FEWER TIME CONSTRAINTS FOR EVEN MORE FREEDOM
When you don't need to wait at home for oxygen deliveries, you are free to explore your world. Weighing under 10 pounds, and cleared for air travel by the FAA, the EverGo is ideally suited for patients who are active and love to travel. That leaves you free to go wherever you want - whenever you want.

Manufacturer's Note: Respironics recommends that new patients purchase their devices, and initial accessories from a homecare company that can provide a loaner unit to the individualized patient equipment set-up, clinical and after-sales support, and a program to assist patients with therapy success.
We are only authorized to sell and ship Respironics products to end-users residing in the United States.
How does the EverGo™ portable concentrator work (produce oxygen)?
The Respironics EverGo portable concentrator separates oxygen from room air and delivers it through a single lumen cannula. Room air contains approximately 21 percent oxygen and 79 percent nitrogen. By passing the air through a series of molecular, bacterial and dust filters, EverGo removes nitrogen and stores nearly pure (therapeutic) oxygen.
Is the EverGo portable concentrator right for me?
Only you and your doctor can determine if EverGo is the right oxygen concentrator for you. If you are active and require a highly portable source of oxygen, EverGo is ideal.
What does the EverGo portable oxygen concentrator weigh?

(30.5 cm L x 15.25 cm W x 21.6 cm H)
Can I use the EverGo while I sleep?
Your doctor can determine whether or not the EverGo portable concentrator is appropriate for you while you sleep. An overnight pulse oximetry test may be necessary to measure your oxygen saturation level while using EverGo at night.
Can I use the EverGo portable concentrator when I travel?
EverGo is ideal for people who enjoy traveling and rely upon oxygen therapy. EverGo operates from a wall outlet (AC power), an automobile charger (DC power), or its internal rechargeable batteries, two lithium ion batteries similar to the type used in laptop computers. The device has been cleared for air travel by the FAA. Because airline policies for traveling with an oxygen concentrator vary, you need to check with your airline before flying with EverGo.
Which airlines permit the use of the EverGo portable oxygen concentrator?
The list of commercial air carriers allowing the use of EverGo during flight is growing monthly. Check the current list of carriers that have cleared EverGo for air travel. Airline Travel with EverGo click here
OCTOBER 2008 | HME Business
Oxygen equipment maker Respironics donated EverGo portable oxygen concentrators to the American Respiratory Alliance (ARA) of Western Pennsylvania in support [sic] the Alliance's 14th Annual Cruise for Respiratory Patients.
The Alaskan cruise, called Smooth Sailing, was held Sept. 13 through Sept. 22 [sic] required that participants fly across the country, which would have been difficult without the POCs. Previous trips had to be arranged using nearer cruise launch points, so that they could use ground transportation. However, with the POCs, the association could loan them out to members who wanted to participate in the cruise.
"Being able to lend the EverGo portable concentrator to patients for use on the plane and the cruise ship is exciting for us because it provides many of the oxygen patients with the opportunity to visit a place that might only have been a dream - Alaska," said Carol Ann Kuczma, Director, ARA Programs and Services.
The participants flew from New Jersey and Pennsylvania to Seattle, Washington using the POCs on battery power. From there, they enjoyed a nine-day Alaskan cruise to Glacier Bay National Park, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia.
The Smooth Sailing trip also included activities and services tailored specifically to the oxygen users group. Members could attend classes on COPDs [sic] and an experience staff of medical professionals - including a physician, respiratory therapists, registered nurses and volunteers - were on-hand to help patients.
ARA loaned the oxygen users all of the necessary portable oxygen equipment for use during the cruise, including stationary units, traditional tanks and the POCs. "Respironics has been the key partner in this year's event and quite frankly, without the portable technology, this trip would not have been possible," Kuczma said.
